SCULPTURES
Every detail makes it so more real
My passion is sculpting but more specifically the Cute, Creepy and Cunning in the form of Monsters, Beasts and creatures. Every creature I create has a story to tell! This all started when I used to tell stories to my little sister, amazingly she wasn’t afraid of the idea of monsters, and as time went on I kept creating to the present day!
MEET THE MONSTERS
The Cute Creepy & Cunning
Gentle giants of the Arctic tundra, Scuzzlewoks spend most of their time foraging and hunting for Arctic vegetation and fish, their thick shaggy fur protects them from the unforgiving climate and ever changing temperatures of the north! No predator native to the Arctic dare try and attack a Scuzzlewok as they know they don’t stand a chance, despite their gentle natures don’t be fooled.... Scuzzlewoks stand roughly 10 feet tall and pack powerful raw muscle under their fur. Their horns alone pack and incredible punch! Smaller natives of the Arctic tundra take refuge in a Scuzzlewoks fur during the blizzard seasons to stay warm and safe from the unforgiving climate and the desperate predators, not that the Scuzzlewoks mind the love to be surrounded by others
Terakins can be found pretty much all over the world, they nestle in deep forest trees, the huddle in dark caves and even infest homes as common pests! Since they can be found almost all over the world the species have developed into several different subspecies, but what they all have in common is their maniacal and mischief nature’s, they are like wicked petty children and love causing Mayhem wherever they go! Although small in size a swarm of Terakins can prove to be a big problem as they sport a set of sharp dagger like teeth! They start off cute and calm but grow into a much more volatile nature as they develop. Once ready they can asexually reproduce by coughing up their young by the dozen. The cute fuzzy puffball that people normally fall in love with will defiantly snap and become a raging 7 inch tall beast bent on mischief and madness!
Welkies... or Beetlestags are tall and proud beats roaming the deep thick forests of the world like mighty lords of the wood, the males boast a mighty and powerful pair of pincer like antlers that are perfect for warding off hunting predators or to earn respect and dominance in the herd. They are a very cautious and protective breed, humans who spot them claim they are very hard spot in a calm environment ent as they flee in the event of seeing human kind
Ashmongers often get described as scabby little survivors in the volcanic wastes.... but they are so much more! They live at the foot of volcanoes where they have been able to develop a strange and unique way of life by eating only minerals! They use their strong club like front paws to dig through the ash and volcanic soil for their favourite food.... Sulphur! Their powerful sharp beaks are able to break up and crack the sulphur, but why sulphur? When in their stomachs it creates a chemical reaction and makes it into a ticking smoke bomb bubbling foul chemicals for a very special defence mechanism. In the volcanic regions there are many desperate predators looking for an easy meal and a slow moving Ashmonger seems perfect! But when threatened the Ashmonger uses the sulphur inside its body to release a noxious and foul smoke from the spinal vents on its backs confusing and temporarily blinding the predator giving the Ashmonger a slow but safe getaway
Mushglooms are strange little things, trodding around deep swampy lands and deep damp caves they don’t care much for sunlight, they are a curious lot observing human explorers when they spot them, even though they are gentle it’s a shame that the spores that surround them tend to make humans feel nauseous and ill, they always carry a strange damp smell to! They grow in many places, some sprout in caves, others in deep forests and some even pop out of swamps and bogs and have developed limbs to employee their dank uninviting environments
Probably the top predators of the deep swamps and bogs! When it’s neck extends it reaches 20 feet tall, despite their huge size they rely more on lure and ambush. They submerge their huge bodies under the thick muddy waters using their 10 strong tentacles to traction their way across the bog floors patrolling for an unsuspecting meal. They even gather foliage and debris as camouflage on their back to allow a passing heron or alligator to take refuge and when they moments right it’s mighty extendable neck reaches around and snaps its prey up..... sometimes humans wander into the swamps and are never seen again
Hitching rides from the Far East hundreds of years ago inside of ancient scriptures and across but developed a love for books and novels. The book worms slowly infested studies and libraries and nesting inside of old books in between the pages, they spend their lives reading the content of the boom over and over again.... until an unsuspecting scholar turns the page for a read! Bookworms carry a strange toxin that when the worm bites the unsuspecting reader the toxin causes the reader to hallucinate everything that happens in the book! Victims have described that the more bizarre the story the more horrifying the hallucination!
Adorable little twerps that live in human homes taking shelter in our pantries and cupboards... particularly wherever there is sweet food! It has a major addiction to sugary substances which is why it’s recommended if you have a Sugarmane infestation to simply leave honey out and they will come and slurp it up! If an idle hand were to reach in the cupboard for a cookie then they may receive a nasty bite
Rockstuds have a massive love of all heavy music particularly rock! Witnesses suggest they saw short blue men scurrying around some of the most major music events taking in all the rock n roll! They heavy loud sound waves hit their head tendrils giving them a high that can’t be described! When no music is available they create their own with makeshift instruments but be warned...... Rockstud music is painful to endure and their voices are very piercing and harsh, to a human it sounds like horrific nightmare noises!
Peak Poachers are sly slippery creatures, they take shelter on mountain peaks disguising themselves as travelling hermits covered in rags. When travelling mountaineers get lost in the harsh dangerous mountains with very little food to survive Peak Poachers offer them delicious smelling hot cooked food, if your foolish you’ll take the food but this comes with a deep and dark price! They reveal their wicked forms and reveal that until your debt is paid..... you belong to them!
Often called “Cove Tyrants” even sharks stay away from the bad tempered and aggressive Nargoo! You’ll know there’s a Nargoo near your beach or cove because you won’t see a single fish or shark near by, not even seagulls swim on the surface due to how violent they can be, they love protecting their domains at all costs and will fight each other for territory! These things pull ships down to their demise!
The myths of sirens were mistaken for these vile and repulsive creatures of the sea, they take up residence near beaches, ocean cliff or even out at sea, their lure has evolved to look like a divine and beautiful woman singing her siren song, you can’t resist, her eyes are captivating, her song is so pure and soothing, her arms reach out to hold you, she whispers things that make you feel like you could truly be happy, as you reach for the girl, a set of menacing teeth lunge up and pull you down to the depths, once fed she pushes her lure to the surface and waits for another hopeless romantic!
The most powerful jaws of common beast! G’narls occupy ravaged plains and thick dangerous jungles, they are born with incredibly short tempers and will snap at the sight of any other creature! They will even fight will each other and resort to cannibalism if necessary which is why they are often covered in deep scars and bite marks! They have one fear..... shadows from above as they are physically unable to look upward so the can’t see if a flying predator is diving down for an attack which is what they prefer to take shelter in thick jungles and bash through the brush with they thick strong heads!
They terrorised early humans when they took shelter unground to escape the surface monster but after a few thousand years the Subterrans found the humans and chased them out! They are covered in a craggy tough exoskeleton that allows them to lend in to their rocky abodes! Their powerful six legs allow them to climb up the giant stalagmites and manoeuvre across the harsh cave floors, and their four eyes allow them to see perfectly in the dark! They feed on various mineral clusters that grow deep underground and also grow a unique and precious healing gem stone in their backs, many humans try to steal them but are swiftly stopped, they have one weakness which is their underbellies, a soft and unprotected surface of their body that is vulnerable but you have to make it past 6 aggressively stabbing ones first!
